Palazzo Chigi Saracini back to reveal its treasures
Saturday, October 31 is the last day of visit of the historic home of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, in fact the last weekend when you can admire the incredible artistic heritage which is part of the private collection assembled between 1700 and 1800 by Galgano Saracini and that is kept in the historic building built by the Marescotti Family in the thirteenth century. among paintings, sculptures, porcelain and ceramics there are about 12.000 precious exhibits at Palazzo Chigi Saracini! Not to be missed.
Illustrated floor's unveiling in Cathedral
The same day is the last opened to the public also for the unveiling of the floor illustrated of the Cathedral of Siena. 1300 square feet is the surface of a paved-rich marble inlays, which has needed a work lasted five centuries and which saw the collaboration of numerous artists, many of which from Siena.

Painting of 16th century is instead hosted in Santa Maria della Scala Museum Complex, with a retrospective dedicated to artist from Urbino Federico Bartocci. 34 works on show, some of them restored for the occasion, works from prestigious international museums that illustrate the value and the modernity of a painter whose fame in the sixteenth century was like other illustrious contemporaries, such as Michelangelo, Titian and Raphael.

After a meticulous restoration that lasted more than three years, is presented at the Santa Maria della Scala an exhibition where on display are twelve flags of the contradas from the Museum of Florence Stibbert: unfortunately it lacks five (Aquila, Bruco, Chiocciola, Selva and Torre), but you'll be for sure fascinated by the ancient and precious value of nineteenth-century silk banners, in which you can find interesting iconographic elements present both in design and in shape.
