The town of Pienza (SI) will host since Saturday 13 March to Sunday, April 11, 2010 the exhibition entitled "Portraits of Cinema" The art of illustration of Carlantonio Longi (Livorno1921-1980), one of the most famous illustrators and film posters Italians in the years between 1945 and 1970.
The exhibition will be held at the auditorium of St. Gregory, in the heart of the Renaissance city nestled on the beautiful Val d'Orcia, and provide an opportunity to trace the Italian and international cinema in one of its most important periods, that of the Second World War .
Will also exhibit some seventy works, including preparatory drawings, first print and film posters, from the personal collection of Robert Longo, and son of the famous art historian. Enthroned in the tables known and loved faces like those of Anna Magnani, Totò, Macario, Jack Lemmon, De Sica, John Wayne, Paul Newman, Marcello Mastroianni, Sofia Loren.
