Easter is coming and even Siena & province are preparing to celebrate, offering cultural tours or simple events for recreation. Not that during "normal" period the reasons to visit this wonderful city and surrounding areas are missing: the magic of Siena is still intact and pulsing between the walls that surround it, with the beautiful and famous Piazza del Campo, which leads to medieval images and memories. All the "Possible Worlds" by Eliseo Mattiacci

The cellar Icario, an original production complex inserted in the beautiful Val d'Orcia between splendid vineyards, presents the new exhibition of Eliseo Mattiacci, "Mondi Possibili", which is visible until April the 30th.
Almost referring to the idea of Leibniz concerning the existence of infinite possible worlds, Mattiacci propose a path divided between internal and external, between earth and sky, in an ideal continuous ascent, presenting a series of works which have as main theme the relationship between man and cosmos.
Eliseo Mattiacci, who made his debut in 1967 at the historic Roman art gallery "La Tartaruga", is a leading exponent of Arte Povera (poor art), presents thirty works on paper and different creations placed in distinctive areas of the cellar: to be mentioned, "Way of heaven", with its steel tracks pointed to the sky," Heavenly Body", an agglomeration of metal shavings to form a hemisphere that implies the chaos of the single element combined in a multitude of relationship, and equipment for observing the universe.
Of course, the sculptures offer an observation of the universe that actually aims to "imagine", to see what each of us has within. It searches the sky, actually, to know ourselves.

The Thermal Village: music, health, culture, entertainment and sports

This year, from April the 11th to October the 10th, Chianciano Terme offers the Thermal Village: a unique opportunity not to be missed to enjoy music, entertainment, sport and, of course, relax.

Art, genius and madness. The day and night of the artist

The Complexof the Museum of Santa Maria della Scala will host, up to May the 25th, the exhibition "Art, genius and madness. The day and night of the artist ", proposing a route that winds along eight different sections telling through the beauty of modern and contemporary art peculiarities of a fascinating and complex universe as the one of psychiatry.
The exhibition, born from an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi, offers about 300 works including paintings and sculptures, and boasts outstanding names such as Van Gogh, Munch, Ernst, Ligabue, Guttuso, just to name a few.
Along with these "big names" also some important psychiatric centers which have contributed to the project are involved in the show.
